Well, that was brief…
After looking over the GI Diet meal plan….good lord, that’s a LOT of cooking! I started making a shopping list & had half a page written before I realized…we can’t afford all these special foods!
We’re going to incorporate *some* of the lower GI elements into our dinners for my Other Half, though. He only has about 40 lbs to lose, and I’d rather he not rocket down the way he did 3 years ago when we last “dieted” together. He’ll be getting some grains and extra dairy in order to slow his progress just slightly. Otherwise…I’m staying on Atkins & trying to keep it tasty. We’ll see how the next couple of weeks go.

I always feel better when I’m on atkins. Also the minute I indulge for a few days I do gain weight. The worst part is it usually isn’t worth it. Since all sugar does is make me fall dead asleep. So good luck! I too am rededicating myself to the atkinsish way.

Yeah…it takes awhile for me to add on the pounds when I’m halfheartedly following the program, but it *does* happen if I’m not diligent. Ah well…hopefully knuckling down now will allow me to get to my goals.
Good luck on your own lowcarby stick-to-it-ness! I know that my downfalls are generally convenient foods, hot chocolate, and Ben & Jerry’s. Hopefully you can avoid your own traps

I did the GI Diet in 2005 before my wedding and lost 25 lbs. It works! Email me if you have questions.
