Skinflint February

So February has finally arrived, bringing us one month closer to Spring.  It’s also the first month of Sock Club, in which I tell you what to knit, and you knit it (wow, that sounds bossy!).  My choice for February? MIL’s Socks by Sue Grandfield.  It’s a free pattern on Ravelry at this time, so please go ahead and download away.  If you like the pattern, be sure to leave a note or a Fave marking so she knows!

Here’s what I’m working with.  Cadenza by Estelle in a numbered colourway.  It’s damn pretty yarn and I wish I’d had the foresight to take a picture of it in the sunlight before winding it and halving it.  You see, I’m going to attempt the pattern toe-up, partly because I’m not certain of the yardage I have to work with, partly because I’m loving the length of the leg on my new plain socks.  I know…I only finished them yesterday, but they’re already on my feet.  It’s cold here in Canada and they’re warm!

Til later folks…come on by the Ravelry board and let’s see how you’re getting started!
